For sore eyes — One of the first things you notice on waking is light. A welcome sight for some, but others (like me!), it hurts. I have photophobia (I’m not afraid of light; it just stings my eyes), so I need to start with gentle glows. Knowing which light is more soothing is worthwhile if you need to be up before sun and this is you too. I tested heaps of colours. Orange light didn’t make my eyes water, blur, overblink, or cause searing pain.
